Lol, me too. It's always one of the lunch counter blow hard types wanting to make sure I'm doing it right.I just keep quiet and listen. It always a story about how some other driver really screwed it up and blah blah blah.
The old hands that know their stuff don't do it that way, they say it with a head nod or shake, if they see that you got the hint and need help they will come over.![]()
It's funny when new guys with my same company meet at a shipper

I've found that, oftentimes, they day one thinks they "know it all" is the same day they wind up eating their words.mp4694330, SteveScott and tinytim Thank this.

Most of the guys I meet are helpful and nice, maybe you're at the wrong place.
SteveScott Thanks this. -
Thats fine and well. They're just enthusiastic about doing what they're doing and maybe coming off a little wrong about it. Ive been driving for about 5 years myself, not with the same company I'm sorry to say, but at 5 years in I know I'm not really in a position to cop an attitude over stuff like this. That's roughly the equivalent of the sophomores picking on the freshmen in high school.Lepton1 Thanks this.

Meet a new driver @ work today. Had never drove dump truck. Told him if he wanted a few pointers I'd help him out. He said thanks none of the drivers would even talk to him. I said well ya know everyone was green when they started out.
Lepton1, SteveScott, str8t10 and 2 others Thank this. -
Seems like a lot of us, myself included, sometimes forget we were all new guys at one time.Last edited by a moderator: Jun 9, 2016

I always found it amazing how many people forget where they came from. People with that attitude disgust me.
