    I have a 1998 freightliner XL Classic, I've owned truck for 7 year's never had a problem till resent. It is starting to wear steer tire on inside shoulder in one spot not all way around but a week ago it started shaken, shimmering in steering wheel. So I got home checked it out had play in both bearing, an kingpin tighten up bearing, put new kingpin in driver's side only, no signs of any wearing on passenger side went for test drive few minutes ago still shakes an shimmy , please help any advice welcomed

    I'm assuming while it was apart you checked the tie rods, drag link, etc and everything was tight? As well as the steering box?

    Bad kingpin will basically cause an out of round condition on tire.
