Florida truck drivers protesting cheap freight! Shutting downs roads!

This needs to happen all over the country. It's about time someone finally had the balls to do something....not sure if it will help but it's a start and will get the attention of a few people.

 

Found out today the dry van and reefer guys came into one my hauls from Omaha to Laredo and chopped the rate from 2100 to 1400 ..told em 2100 or I don't haul it .... They won't be around long after they haul it for free and discover what cattle hides do to a van or reefer lol.

 

1100 miles for 1400? Shipper might have played you. I don't think anybody can even commit to that price to do it on a regular basis

 

They do it all the time, not necessarily that route but yes all the time.

 

They can play all they want lol...they pulled this about a month ago and I told em I'll be at home drinking beer ..2 days later the rate went up ....

 

Ps ..I live in Omaha so play away and I'll go play lol

Naw don't gamble but plenty of other things to do ...last time they pulled this they hacked it by 400 bucks and I said goin on a road trip in my car see ya .
Got other hauls that pay so no big deal , blows my mind the people will trash a van or reefer with hides for a buck a mile lol

 

I remember one time talking to an 0/0 heavy haul driver. He lost his contract to some company because he was underbid be a new 0/0. The new 0/0 agreed to work for $1.45 per mile. That was probably his first and last load as an 0/0.

 

We got underbid from one of our direct customers by 2000.00

Our office said hate to lose the ld. But no way can we do it that cheap and we won't sorry.. So I sit another day because of cheap arse rates
