Low Clearance in US 50 Nevada 7 miles north of state line ( CA )

If you must take your truck....route is good for standard size and wt. I have driven it only by car, not a truck friendly environment with all the tourist.

If you are at Stateline, he casinos all have huge parking lots, no problem parking. Find security, tell them you are going to dinner and gamble. If further west into SLT, there are a number of shopping centers where you will see trucks parked

Thanks for all the information. I'll only have the tractor, which is my own, no trailer. We are staying at Harrahs and know I can park, no problems there. Have spent far too much money on this wedding (daughter in law has no family, so we took up the slack) and don't want any extra expenses if possible.

That's what I was thinking, although it's been a while. I think 89 is the scenic route, just wonderful thru the woods and around the Sierra. If you take the rental car advice, you'll be glad you did. That's a really beautiful part of the country. Real mountains out here in the west, not shrubby little hills. I live in Albuquerque, 5,000' elevation above sea level. I believe I live at a higher place than anywhere east of Denver.

US50 out of Carson is fine. Over Spooner Summit and on in to South shore yore better off. New Hiway. 89 has low clearance. And West side is that's the CA side, ya got some narrow curves Pain in the butt even bobtail
