No they all take urine to the federal lab requirement. Look in the DOT regs, says zilch about hair.

Lets say it does go back just 3 or 4 months. What if you went and had a root canal or something months ago, and took a few Vicodin for a few days, albeit prescribed by a dentist, your gonna pop positive with hair right? So now you have a positive test.

And we haven't had a "which company piss test and which hair test" thread in a good long while. So we were do.
My advice, stay clean for a year or so, work a factory for the time and only after being clean for a year. Come back and ask us who is a good company to start with.
And another thing, why do post drug users think this is the job for them? I do not understand why they all want to be truckers. This isn't the 70's and 80's anymore.Texas_hwy_287 Thanks this. -
All carriers per FMCSA rules MUST do urine tests. The FMCSA at this point does not accept hair tests in place of urine tests. There has been some talk about changing this but as far as I know it has not happened yet.
