Drove my truck drunk today

Some dude walked up to the counter of this private J in WY someplace on 25, these two working there are talking about drinking and partying, and he gets involved in the conversation, last thing he does is say, " hey, gimme a pint of that Seagrams."

 

Makers' Mark whiskey, I hope.

... he ruined his whiskey by adding Coke!

Best drunk of all time:

 

Moved my truck around to a different spot in my driveway last weekend after a few beers ...no bent iron and no fatalities.

 

Back when I was younger and could have more than one drink before going to sleep I got a call about 10 pm from a produce guy i pulled for regularly asking if I could make a beeline out to salvage a load he had given to someone else. I told him it was way after 5 pm and I was to drunk to even find my truck, let alone drive it. He went silent for about 30 seconds and responded "if i find your truck for you think you can help me with this?"

Another time after having a few too many i got a call in the late evening for a flatbed load the next morning. My truck was hooked to my reefer so I thought I'd go out and switch trailers so I would be ready to go come morning. Dropping the reefer was fine but I gave up trying to back under the flat after about 30 minutes. I just could not hit the pin.

I certainly don't miss those days and I'm glad I finally grew out of that party phase, but some of those days are pretty funny to look back on.

 

Sorry, but I see nothing funny about being ####faced and operating any vehicle. Seen way too much over the years.
