On your own land? If i ran anyone over while moving my truck on my farm they should be grateful I didn't see them. Getting hit by a truck at 5 mph might sting but if I had seen them they were trespassing and smith and Wesson would of hurt a lot more than that Pete did in granny gear.
Drove my truck drunk today

Didn't do too bad I guess but good thing I stopped when I did or the trailer would have hit the beam. Brakes were set so all was good. Had some pretty bad wind and rain but the hail missed us.

Many many many years ago when dart was located on university Ave in St Paul it wasn't unusual for night dispatch to call down the street to the ace box lounge for a driver to cover a load ...same went for the cattle haulers in so St Paul , just call the buckboard bar ...this was ages ago thow .

Yep, I've seen a couple of fatalities on private property. Not trying to be an Adam Henry here, just had to many years in emergency services and law enforcement.

This story reminds me of my first driving job. It was my birthday weekend, and I had a good buzz going on Friday night. Out of the blue, about 9pm I get a call from my dispatcher asking me to cover an emergency, unplanned, Saturday morning load leaving at 2am.
I proceeded to tell him that I'd been drinking and wasn't taking the load. He hung up on me, then called me back 15 minutes later telling me that all drivers were "on call" (we were never officially informed of this policy) and that I had to take it.
This time I not so politely told him, "no, I've been drinking and will not drive". He muttered a few words and hung up on me again.
I didn't run that night, but my time was short there after that. I could never prove it, but I believe he set me up for a fall the following month in order to fire me.KillingTime and Big Don Thank this. -
Well you and I see things a lot differently. I've been so drunk I can't stand up. But I've never been so drunk that anyone was in danger of any injury more severe than falling to the ground. And there is absolutely no possible way anyone can get hurt from me moving my truck or from under 1 trailer to the trailer parked beside it. The bigger danger is managing to get out of it without face planting into a fresh pile of cow doodoo.Last edited: Jun 16, 2016

That's not a bad parking job at all. Better than most guys do it sober.
