I still have my notebook where I kept track of my miles. You better do so yourself, because no one else cares how many miles you have and how close or fast you get to 30k. And when someone throws you a number, you'll have reference. Just one drivers experience.

When you get to the campus inn and they offer you a box lunch choose the turkey. It's supposed to have less sodium than the ham and will be less likely to spike your BP.

Get settled and get started on the paperwork to help give yourself a leg-up on the chaos that start on Monday.
