My password is easy...it's Ferrets surname spelled backwards followed by the proof of Goldbach"s Conjecture. Getting to my universe is easy once you have this password; staying is the hard part especially if you have fat fingers. Fat fingers and pealing grapes is hard but once you throw in the gorilla suit and rollerskates it gets really hard.
I maintain high standards. Don't forget to bring beer.

    New color is working out...
Trip to Vancouver: 1809 hub miles (anything driven is paid) @443cpm. After 90 days my cpm goes to .505.
Pallet weight pays .15 per 100kbs. This trip to Canada was 35003lbs=52.5$.
Breakdown is $11 per hour -starting at the first minute.
For a 4 day trip to Vancouver with 2.5 hrs of breakdown and 1809 miles and the pallet weight: pay totaled 1047.84
We are also paid to chain $20, paid for lv ld $40 & unld $40 with $11 per hr detention starting after 1 hr, $10 for each trailer we hk to. Move 3 trailers at a vendor and you get $30.
.09 for each pallet you pick up and another .09 when you transfer to a dedicated pallet trailer or return them to DC.
$60 and a catered breakfast for the quarterly safety meeting.
Benifits started on the first of the month following hire date.
Tractor has 1500w inverted with a built-in fridge and a real mattress.
34 reset done at home with occasional night at home in between longer runs.
Maintenance issues are dealt with and tractor washed during home 34.
New color is definitely a huge improvement by all measures...only possible downside is the difficult situations encountered and amount of physical effort required.
Personally I need the exercise, and relish the challenge to my driving skill set.
Regarding my personal color wheel, I've transitioned from an Autumn to Winter.

M-Rat hit me with a PM if you are still looking for a new direction moving forward.

Stay happy and healthy all you Pumpkin Posse people.

    New color
TAH...34 every week at the hacienda.
Some weeks it's 1 night mid week then 2 nights during 34.

So I'm chilling at home with the Lil woman, checking email and snail mail...
The latest personally addressed offer from my original recruiter at Schneider is 7500$ bonus to return; details require 6 mths away from Pumpkin and this offer doesn't become official until later in the month. Apparently this is going to be the new sign on bouns being offered. I also have continued to receive mailings from benefits on dental and vision savings I should be taking advantage of.
Throwing good money down the drain...money that drivers should be receiving for retention bonuses and not being used to lure back drivers who left for valid reasons.; one of which is the pitiful cpm. Even with the bonus I'd be giving up thousands to leave my current situation... not to mention better benifits and a more organized operation that doesn't include overspeed alarms or padantic company policies and procedures. (Love my microwave and fridge)
Spend the money on the Orange who show up everyday and do quality work not on trying to lure new hires.
If Schneider took better care of those pushing Pumpkin then they wouldn't need to hire so many replacements or spend on advertising to attract drivers.
    Stay classy Green Bay.

mickimause, alpha beta, Friday and 5 others Thank this.

Indeed.......have thought the very same thing many, many times. They'll drop $5-10k to hire someone, but won't spend a dime afterwards to keep them. It's a business model I'll never understand.
