Stryker SR-955HP

I purchased a Stryker SR-955HP from Amazon.;com for $324.47
Got it yesterday and did the basic conversion to 11 meters,, If you do the conversion with old eyes like me you will need fine electronic tweezers and a magnifying glass..
My board actually had a white arrow pointing to the part to be removed
Yes I also had the image from cbtricks..
It took about 32 seconds to complete the removal and remove the part
I DID NOT TURN ANYTHING INSIDE THE RADIO I AM NOT A TECH I LEFT IT STOCK

Picture below is after removal I made sure the pads had zero splatter across them


Magnifying Glass was used as the part is very very small


Tweezers used sorry the camera could not focus on such a small part at that angle

Now programming wasn't bad AFTER I found a link to a file to make the port work
that link can be found here this is the file to make the usb see a COM port this is what i had to load AFTER the stryker software ( windows 7 64 bit os here)

After the simple programming I was able to add my WWS # to the display


You can also in the software make all changes, add roger beeps, and a bunch of other items
you can then save the file like back up in case you gumbo up a few settings..


Hope this helped one or two out there..
I will keep this radio un tuned and see how it does..

Good luck with your sale these radios seem to talk just fine.. ( for me so far )
I will probably pick up another next month and convert it.. I could not beat the price and overnight shipping..
