This. If Werner, or any company for that matter, raises there pay for new employees, they shouldn't punish people who have been with them by not raising theirs to at least match. That's crappy business practice.

Hi @Dabbing&Trucking334. My question is if you didn't want the sick comments about being a trainer at 6 months, why did you post it here in the "Report A Bad Trucking Company Here" section? I'll say congrats on how far you've come though. IF your students are really giving you the kudos you say, then you're doing a spectacular job. As far as questions about l/p I'd say the section you wanted was "Experienced Trucker's Advice." I don't know. I may be late on this one. Welcome to TTR and hope to see you again.

Sure you are. 22 years old, no experience...OMG.

But we don't need regulations, right?

I keep talking about TBC because it was a #### good rookie account. Last I was there, pay just went to .33 a mile. I was averaging 2500+ a week, off weekends, and pass through depending on where you are going. Runs like memphis-Dallas etc are one day gone right back in Memphis next night runs if you can run it like that. I've had weeks where I was home every other night on Texas runs. Truck brand new and all you haul is tires. Never had to scale anything. I made between $650-1k a week. Sometimes a little less like $550, but remember, I was at .30. Just as I left it went to .33. I had a blast there and I believe it's a good account for rookies. They got some good local out of west Memphis like WM- Mt. Vernon Illinois and back. Pay was .34 then, idk how much now.

    Dabbing&Trucking334 Thanks this.

    Holy crap.
He gets the cpm for ALL miles to the truck. So if he has a good student who can turn 3k miles a week, and he turns even 1500 miles a week, he gets all miles paid, plus bonus for each student.
They should give the trainers at least the same rate as the solo otr guys, but I don't own the company.
I did put in my name to become a trainer and they didn't get back to me. Today is my one year with them.
Must be cause I'm a hard ### about maintenance, and I've stated before I'd actually train these drivers from the jump seat most if not all 275 hrs and if needed step in to get the load there if needed. I HATED running teams. Although my trainer the last few weeks was happy. We were turning 6500 miles a week.
