Oh sorry, I missed the important part of your post, the 16918. This is the lower torque version rated up to 1650 lb-ft.

    AshtonMarie81 Thanks this.

They can go 500hp. The luxury RV class version of the m11. But i think 400hp is a nice number

Depending on your rears you may find you don't got the umph to run in top gear. Might end up spending a lot of time in direct vs overdrive. Nothing wrong with that, especially up in that area of the country.

The super 10 and the RTLO 16918 are gonna have the same final ratio .73. Being able to split will really help the M11. The 18 is also a low enertia which is a plus. It uses an under drive instead of overdrive in the back box to split each gear so as long as the selector is in the OD position she will be turning no more gears than a typical 9 speed another plus. So what were the benefits of the super10 again?

Hmm. Learn something new today. Thanks wore out.

Next can ya help me understand how my 11.1 detroit couldn't turn a 15 double over unless it was Bob tail. It came with a 9 speed, I hated that tranny cause of the gap between 8 and 9. Yanked it out and stuck the 15 DO in it that had been behind my dad's 12v92. Loaded I had to drop down into deep reduction and couldn't keep up in 15th unless I had a good trail wind on flat ground. Did fine in 14th. Does the back box on a 15 create that much more drag than an 18?

All factory overs were like a .80 or .79 overdrive. You could change some gears and get a .62 or close out of them which is really tall and takes momentum to turn and fuel to keep the momentum. Also if it was an RT series and not the RTLO it takes more to turn. The back box on a 15 is not in play unless your in the deep side so as far as gears turning it doesn't hurt. The RTLO 15's are offered with the .73 OD which is kinda middle split of the two. Still a big jump from 9/10 or 14/15 how ever you wanna say it

    Oxbow and AshtonMarie81 Thank this.
