looked at a 2007 freightliner Columbia today and it had two light cord sockets with multiple pins in each.
I know one is for trailer lights but what is the second one for ?

Probably pulled a dump trailer or something that needed additional wiring to the trailer.
-
One has a green cord running to the socket and the other has a yellow cord running to the socket.
Both appear to have the same configuration and the same number of pins. -
It is probably for extra lighting, maybe to charge a lift gate or operate accessories on a trailer. Take a multi meter and flip switches on the dash to see what might have been powered.
BUMBACLADWAR Thanks this. -
Could be for work lights, 12V constant, lift axles, air locks for the tailgate (dump), tarping system.....
Get a meter or a test light and start flipping switches, see what goes where.... -
Yep, the ole lift gate charging cordDave_in_AZ Thanks this.

The green works as normal trailer lights
The yellow has the same pins but only the center pin is live when key is on and every other pin seams dead.
Could it be something for a trailer with antilock brakes? -
Does it look like this?
That's for a lift gate, don't buy that tractor unless you like PAIN.BUMBACLADWAR Thanks this. -
Probably for abs. Mine says something on the cover about the center pin abs amps.Hulld Thanks this. -
Bingo!
It's the yellow socket in your picture.
I guess I should have put on my glasses and read what it said on the socket flapper lolBlackshack46 Thanks this.
