The low paying freight followed by something much better has occurred 3 times in the last month or so...

Interstate also 'restricts' their owner operators to a max speed of 65mph.
They don't require your truck to be governed but they say they periodically monitor you and after a warning or 2 they will terminate you.

Interstate has some older trailers, but the maintaince on them I would say is really outstanding.....I've only heard horror stories about Schneider trailers.

Schneider by far has a more robust freight base and lanes compared to Interstate.

I was assign a business partner, I never talked to a load planner. He can see everything on the board and also loads drop at the yard.

I was assigned a DM also. But Michelle, the Operations Manger, stated the 65mph thing on the conference call with the new o/o on day 2 of orientation. Myself and a few others questioned it and she reiterated specifically.

ok a lot of guys I no over here trucks are not restricted, are you new to the whole lease purchase thing? That could also be the reason why, I came on about 4 months ago and they didn't tell us that. Wish you the best of luck buddy.

I said 'restricted' in quotes, and stated they don't require your truck to be governed.... but their policy for o/o that you limit your speed to the posted speed limit or 65 mph max.... this from the Operations Managers mouth.
    I came on in April.
