@sadwar If you hit Yakima check out the GearJammer TS just outside town. Bar and restaurant. Old school. Do the Town Pumps in MT, some sell Pilot fuel but they all have pretty good homemade sandwiches, salads, full meals that are to go and microwaveable. Check out the Dakota Diner in Dickinson, ND, behind the Tiger TS, exit 64 on the 94. Lots of locals and decent food. They close around 8:00 pm. Montana was gorgeous today.

Apologies, this was of course meant for sadwar's thread.

Being free is nice, but going home to a good woman and a couple kids who's faces light up when you walk in the door is priceless too.

I really get sick of the BS one-upmanship some seem to thrive on.

I do this because I got tired of being told where to go and when to be there.
I don't have to make every dime I can. And if I decided to work harder, it would not make a significant change in my financial life.
I make my work life easier...easier to pick up, deliver, and park.
My last two weeks settlements were 1688 and 1551. This week will be about 550 for three says work. I idle my ### off because I wish to be comfortable.

If you feel you have to maximize every aspect of your business, that's great. It's your business. But if I don't wish to for whatever reason, that's my business. I like not working as hard. And I'm thankful I don't have to.

I have a wife and 3 dogs. no kids. When I was home last weekend, the dogs practically wiggled themselves to death when I walked in. The wife.............. not so much......:D. j/k honey.... So I am trying to work my schedule so I get home a bit more ( or at least thru the house ) than every 3 weeks.
