You going to the Bronx by any chance ? Lol.
I'm literarily unloading strawberries as I type this sitting at hunts Point for 3.5 days now waiting to get unloaded. But it's easy set temp to proper setting I assume 32?. And keep an eye on it. Don't let the cherries temp drop like 3 below or like 4 over.rabbiporkchop and Crazy Alex Thank this. -
Don't eat too many in a single sitting. They'll tear you up if you eat too many.
NavigatorWife, David_Simpson, insertnamehere and 4 others Thank this. -
SMD,Have you tried to bribe those ########? ....maybe $50?
-
You can not be literally unloading anything if you are typing on a computer, and sitting.
Figuratively yes, but not literally.
If you are keeping them at 32 degrees, which is the freezing point, why would it matter if it gets a few degrees below that?
Just wondering.88 Alpha Thanks this. -

Depending on what type of cherries and how they are shipped typically 35-38.....32 too cold under any circumstances.....and SMD....for what it's worth ifn you've been at market that long broker/buyer had a least a moral if not legal obligation to inform you BEFORE you loaded it was a spec load....at this point id be working the mkt like the old days&selling them pallet at a time.....good luck

Day two I walked over and asked alright man how much can I give you to get me out of here he said it's not about the money it's the storage no where to store 28 pallets. From what one employee told me is. " They keep the driver there until the load is sold sometimes it's a few hours sometime it's days. Which makes sense they didn't have room and used me as storage.
You're right I guess I should have been more direct Mr obvious haha
Well the temp in the trailer is okay to drop. But the berries them self can't. Normally the broker wants you to check temp when they load It and if it's 3 4 under or above they want the shipper to pull product off cool it more if needed or drop temp before they can put it on your truck. And then most require a recorder on a pallet.
I ran out of fuel on reefer twice and by the time I siphoned out like 10 gallons reefer dropped to like 36° lol.
