I had Blue cross from 1998 - 2009. $790 a month for their family plan through the company I was working with.

When I lost my job we switched over to my wife's company and the price was pretty much the same.

I'm looking at plans now that want $1800 a month for any kind of reasonable coverage.

Been paying the penalty each year,.. but its getting more and more expensive to pay.

I worked local 77 for 5 years,.. I paid nothing for health or dental. Included eye exams as well. I loved it when I was with the union. I assumed Florida would be like Wash DC,.. no such luck.

She had residual coverage left over from when she was with the Sheriffs dept. Thats been long gone.

Do you have a phone number? A name? Who? Is this Obama Care?

I guess I may be misinformed but I thought it was basically all Obama care anymore. Meaning you can buy from whom ever you like but it all comes from the same plans basically. Or you can go to healthcare.gov and buy it and maybe get a subsidy. Am i way off on that.

And if you had a plan before you may still be on it. Grandfathered in but couldn't never get it now

Just get a preventive care and pay the fee, it's a slight penalty on your net, not your gross

True, but in most cases, the Grandfathered plans premiums increased to crazy numbers, in my case the monthly premium would of been almost tripled had I kept it ..

Current options both in the marketplace and directly from the providers are very expensive for poor coverage in my opinion
