No load sent to qc and I don't dare ask for one as I am taking a few days off starting Sunday.

Wish I knew there was pizza as i just ate.

I walked out of the lounge and nodded to someone sitting there wearing a hat sitting next to a blonde woman I believe.

I was walking out with my kids in tow!

    That happen to be you?

Hey all, gotta question about Abilene pay... if your truck breaks down out of state and you're stuck waiting for it to be fixed, does Abilene pay you anything? Also, is detention pay an automatic thing or does a driver have to request it somehow? Thanks!

    Yes, all are Autos.

Mountains? Drop a gear, kick in the Jake, and ride it on down... To change gears it's just a press of a button... It won't miss a gear either.

And there is a manual mode on most Autos so if you want more control, its there.... But I don't drive manuals to know if there is more or less "control" but as a newbie the autos felt totally under control to me.

Honestly, I just don't get the whole auto vs manual debate... It's just an automated manual transmission... Instead of clutch n stick it's just a button... But then again, I'm fairly secure in my manhood so maybe I just don't care... LOL

Always wondered what driving an auto would be like. Gotta be a real knee saver in stop & go traffic. I thought they had both but it seems by the posts they only have autos. Hey, works for me. :D

So I tried getting hold of Rusty yesterday to update him when I could start orientation but the line just rang and rang every time I called. No voicemail or anything. I take it they might have had phone troubles? Anyway I'll try again Monday.

There is breakdown pay. I don't know how much it is though. We have a Qualcomm macro to send for breakdown. They also pay for a hotel and I was told that it doesn't have to be cheapest available so pick decent one.

I love autos but the freightliner I am in has the manual mode disabled which is annoying at times and downright frightening at others as you can't choose a lower gear to decend. Well, you can but it just upshifts and engages eco-roll which means you are essentially free wheeling downhill.

The engine brake is seriously powerful but I don't dare use that on wet roads when empty.
