Key West to Norfolk, Va

15 to 18hr with fast food at gas stops?

 

Take your time while going thru the keys it is a nice drive.....

 

I would drive half way then get a room. Then drive the other half next day. It takes me about 11 hours to go about 530 miles. That's with a wife and 3 kids.

 

Have FUN at MIA airport; hang on to your kiddos and wife tightly!!!!! Key West is awesome; Miami, another story; know some Spanish in case you get lost~!
If nothing else, Un Mas Cervesa, Por Favor? and Donde Es El Bano?
{one more beer, please & where is the bathroom?}

 

Of all the things i learned in school, other than basic math skills, i have gotten more use out of those 4 years of spanish than anything else. God knows i certainly haven't had to graph a cosine wave, or break down what happens to a hydrogen atom when you remove an electron.

 

^^ My wife grew up in FL so she knows Spanish; it wasn't even an 'elective' there!~ But you are right, man. Comes in handy!~

ps: I just posted the only two I personally know, LoL. She's from Bradenton; right next door to ya.

 

The truckers ate on strike in Miami so add 6 hours of drive time to it.
