Where are you going to orientation? I might be able to help you out for awhile.

I'm in Phoenix. Probably the biggest cat person on this site. I'd foster him for awhile for you.
There are lots of carriers that will let you take a pet, usually a cat requires a deposit, cause they scratch.
But most cats don't ride well when they first get on the truck. And your gonna need all your focus on learning how to drive, not on calming down the cat. I don't think I would want a trainee with a pet, and I'm pretty easy.
Once you get your own truck, no problem. Covered cat box with clumping litter, gotta be a little creative with water dish, but then your good.
I know Schneider does orientation here, and God love those people cause its a giant dirt bowl and its a 110 everyday now. You'd need to find out about the pet thing from your recruiter. I just drive local.

But there's no way I'd give up my cat.
Bought my first house cause someone wanted me to give up my cat. Ended up making like $80K on it lol.
So, if you go to Phoenix, and they will let you take it OTR, i'll care for it during your training.
    Good luck.

Catpeople? What it the attraction to a fuzzy creature. Wouldn't you rather bring a person to ride along with you....like a loving wife to keep you company out there on the dark deserted hyw. Pussycat pussycat, where is my pussycat!
