Try running a 46,000 lb. load of production pipe into the wilds of southwest PA! 10 ton roads and 10 ton bridges, glorified goat paths being refered to as roads, andat the end? 8 miles of single lane (barely!) dirt "lease road" where you pray you don't come across anybody heading the other way!

Texas is easy-peasy compared to PA, my friend.

Jake sucks to begin with and it doesn't work at all on the low side and in 5th it likes to only come on at 1750 or above. Some of those hills were down to 2nd gear. A Sand Box truck was in the ditch earlier in the day prob from hopping to the side and driver panicked. 2nd trip I had a Mack pinnacle day cab and boy are those light on the front end compared to those 389 & 367 petes

Tell you what, that mp8 is a pretty stout engine compared to the baby cummins, that thing will lug all the way down to 1250 and recover pretty good. Has better throttle response too

You are never lost as long as you still have fuel in the tanks. You are just on a wild adventure of discovery across this great nation of ours....or extremely screwed when the cops catch you on a ten ton rated goat trail 15 miles off the truck routes without permits or a BOL that lets you through.....either way, have FUN!
