I had a cat named Bootsy! He was a alley-cat, slept all day and hunted all night for rats. He used to come home all cut up from fighting....Then one night he went out and never came back.

Here is the deal, I love cats....But they are not used to living in a machine moving a lot of the time. The vision on cats is predicated by movement. Their world is much different than ours, and they don't see like humans. Cats see in monochrome and can not distinct variations of small objects and large objects, cats see things in a 2-d world that blends into their 3-d reality. Why do cats inherently strike at moving objects, it is primal instinct similar to our peripheral vision.

Riding in a vehicle at highway speeds can disturb them and make them revert to isolating in the darkened bunk. Should they want to go out to play....there are no familiar places for them to hunt...

Cats mark their territory with spunk....and should you leave the trucking company, the spunk of your cat remains in there for months if not years. Hope the next guy has no allergies to felines.

Oh BTW, Some of the companies that do allow pets, charge a nonrefundable deposit of $500 dollars before bringing that cutie along for the ride.

So get Certified and go earn a living and one day Mr. Bootsy may show up!

You got it all wrong man. I am the cats human. I belong to the cats, they don't belong to me. Cats don't belong to anyone, they don't need me, I need them.

Hey Dave, have you ever had a stray cat approach you like it knows you? This has happened to me a number of times in my travels. Although I too am a cat fancier, it's freaky. It's like they know this.

Oh yea. They know cat people. Some are very tame from generations of being in a human/family environment, they are more friendly and probably abandoned or lost.
The one I've had for 8 years, came from full feral 's, had it since it was born, and it's wild lol. Never saw the daddy but he musta been a SOB. Her brothers will REAL big, mom had litter on the seat of my Dads pick up. Gave em all away, kept her.
Yea I carry food and treats even in this day cab.
