I can't speak for the way they treat solo's,but the teams are treated like crap !! At least my husband and his co-driver are anyway. They tell them to drive 500 miles and that they can't deliver until appt. time , which is 2 days later. They set and wait, if they were getting paid for waiting it wouldn't be so bad but the pay happens 2 hrs. after the appt. time ( don't hold your breath waiting to get paid that either) This happens all the time !! They even let them set all weekend one time and then mon. when they called Total to ask them what was going on they said " OH, you set all weekend" as if they didn't know. Try being a truckers wife and getting a phone call at 2 am while your husband is on the road because Total has a problem and decided to call the driver's home instead of contacting them in the truck. I'm sure they didn't know how bad I didn't want to answer that phone, thinking something bad had happened !! And then last but not least, Try having a problem at the customer and calling dispatch and them telling YOU to take care of it. Well needless to say my husband was already mad because of the way he was being treated at the dock,so he told the dispatch that wasn't his job it was hers and her answer was "that's trucking baby" OH, did I mention that was the day after he was suppose to be home. My husband is not new at this thing, he has been a trucker for more than 15 years and USED to be proud of what he does !! Please, if you have a family to support, look elsewhere !!

What type of trucks do they have? Are they auto?
-
They have freightliner and volvo. They are auto. The trucks are pretty good, at least the freigtliner my husband drives is. The company on the other hand, is another story !!
-
How do they determine who get's which type?
-
It all depends on what they have empty. Teams get the newer ones.

michaelt30,
Don't you get it? The lady is posting what a horrible company this is and you ask about equipment? I wouldn't care if it was a long nose Pete with all of the bells and whistles. Why would you want to work for them? WOW!
seacasper,
I don't know your situation but if I were your husband, I would leave ASAP! It sounds like they are the typical company. Paying less and expecting more. Thats what is wrong with this industry for the majority of drivers. Still, they put up with it. I have no idea why? Good luck on finding the right company.
Drive safeseacasper, AfterShock, Big Duker and 2 others Thank this. -
Thank You !! He's going to find another company but no matter how bad he's is treated, he was trying to give the company a chance. He is looking for something in or around indiana with no hazmat and that run teams good. A lot of companies want you out 3 weeks instead of 2 which is hard when you have a young child at home.
