We've had it since 2007. Haven't driven it since last winter but I think it was 1750 at 60 rpm. Yeah it's a screamer. Good fuel mileage tho.

Currently it has taller tires.. 11R 22.5. But eventually I want to put 24.5 wheels on it...
Oxbow Thanks this. -
If im at 1600 rpm at 65mph. That shouldn't hurt to much. If anything should improve it, wont be lugging as much.. i cruise around 68 to 70 tops anyway.. no need to drive any faster... if at anything might slightly improve my mpgs... will see.. its not like im going cross country with it... lol...

As long as it suits you the owner/driver that's the only thing that matters.

Hey quick question for my mechanical know how fellow truckers out there,, I have an Idea for my truck. Now here me out,, I have a cummins M11 plus, and it has a Jacobs brake, (jakebrake) and it works pretty good,, but here me out,, i know guys with dodge 6.7L cummins pickups with factory jakebrakes. And they also put a pac brake on for increased engine braking.... ok now there a pac brake for the M11, do u guys think We could make a JakeBrake and a Pac Brake work together on separate systems for better control over engine braking... now these guys with the 6.7L cummins pickups with this setup. Thier trucks sound wicked when both systems are on high braking. I'm like I so would love to hear how my truck would sound after i put the 6inch open stacks on it.... please shareyour thoughts on this....

Not possible.
The 6.7 has a variable vane turbo. That is what they use to slow the truck down.
They do this by closing the vanes on deceleration to make boost and back pressure.
The pack brake for the 6.7 is an add on aftermarket deal . I think what your talking about is there add on valve actuated jake brake like your truck has.
So combined with the vgt turbo it has great hold back power.
So basically your truck already has a jake but would need to have a vgt turbo to be the same as a 6.7 . Just not going to happen. -
You could probably mount an exhaust brake behind the turbo though if you have the room. I've never seen a jake/exhaust brake combo so it'd be interesting.

That's what I wanted to do to my series 60.
After looking into it and getting information from a guy in Australia that actually did it, I come to the conclusion it don't work very well.
Exhaust brake is a great alternative if you have no jake at all , but together not the best results.
A jake combined with a vgt turbo like the ISX is a great combo thou.AshtonMarie81 and Oxbow Thank this. -
The back pressure from the exhaust brake must cause some issues with the jakes when they're run together.Oxbow Thanks this.
