Hello everyone im looking to get a glider with a 60 series in it, either a coronado or a cascadia. Can i get some opinions on this and some personal experiences along with pros and cons. i wanna know how realible is this motor and the efficency, i always hear good things about this motor. I also like the pete 389 with a 6nz but they are a bit too expensive.
PS: Any laws they are trying to pass to make gliders non compliant nationwide? It would suck to buy it and then be forced to get a dpf installed.

That's my plan too. I'm not really seeing to many cons except if the laws change thy could force you to get it compliant . As far as the motor goes I think you should be fine, They had some problems a few years ago with parts but as far as I know those got straitened out. Who where you getting the truck through and how much more is the 6NZ .

6nz will prob cost you 6-10k more than a Detroit 12.7 Check out Fitzegerald and Schenider if you're looking for gliders. We have a few gliders at my company for high idle applications. Essentially you can't run Cali and there are talking about banning gliders in some of the eastern ports. @Cowpie1 You feel like chiming in with your truck's data?

I was told to stay away from the Cascadia.
the reason I was told that it hard to set the old engines up with a Cascadia, I know some companies are building them but not sure how problem free they are. -

My experience. 1,600 miles. Fitzgerald is really nice to work with, though.

How is the Fitz warranty treating you? Are they covering 100% or charging you for odds and ends like freightliner warranties?
