Finding a load to Washington is not bad. I even have consistency. However, coming back is a nightmare. Either you cannot find loads back or you're coming back with cheap freight. Someone told me to get no less than $1.70 from WA to CA. I tried that but failed. What do you guys think the rates should be?

For a van, I figure ballpark $3 up and $1 back, but even that has been hard to get lately. Just yesterday I had a broker try to convince me $2.40 going up was a round trip rate.

It's always bad. I have a reefer. Broker gave me $1700 from Ceres, CA to Sumner, WA.
