havent had anyone actually come out and yell at me for being on a road before. That's pretty obnoxious, I doubt I'd have handled it as well as you did. Gonna mentally prepare for that in the future.
Thull Thanks this. -

If you look at the image the route in blue is the route I took to get to the customer. The route in red was the route you were "suppose" to use but with cars all in the road there was NO WAY you could get through there. Then once I finished getting unloaded the route in green was the route the customer sent me on to leave. Here is the address so you guys can look it up on google maps satellite view for a better detailed photo & can zoom in to see what I'm talking about. Address is 2101 Clifton Ave St Louis, Missouri

it's just part of the job. even with the best trip planning, #### still happens. road closures, local hazmat restricted routes, etc. google satellite all of your loads and their "final mile" routes. i use it every single day. i don't know how guys did this job without the technology we have today, we are spoiled.
scythe08, Canned Spam and Thull Thank this. -
Yup, S!!!T happens, I recently trip planned a delivery to a coal mine, 2:30 am dark as hell 1st/2nd gear up a narrow winding road, then down, took about 30 minutes. I finally reach the mine and the guard says which way did you come, I said over the mountain, she says man, trucks don't come that way...needless to say the route out was super easy...garman, qualcom and google all led me this way...
Thull Thanks this. -
That just sucks lol. There is just no good way to get in there. Looks like the least bad way was Exit 286, North on Hampton about .5 miles and then left on to...Hampton ave (?)...seriously its Hampton ave and Hampton Ave...and then down to Manchester Rd and then Left onto Knox and straight to the Chemisphere.
Also looks like there was a fire at that plant not to long ago so the people in that neighborhood probably aren't too thrilled with it being there.
