Very well said, friend, especially that very last sentence.
Oxford and Knoxville. Aren't you touring SEC campus' a bit early for your daughter. I understand you living in ACC country and wanting only the best for her, thus the SEC stops, but that's a 15 year head start on the visits. Oh well, never too early to get her singing "Rocky Top" or hear her talking about "The Grove".
Enjoy your vacation. You've put in the time and effort to be able to enjoy the fruits of your labor.

Hey Playamwj12 just wanted to say thanks for sharing your story. I'm heading back to flatbed next week. CRST Malone doesn't hire from my area so Jones Motor it is. I'm inspired by how you balance work and home life. Keep those wheels rolling brother.

Just in case you guys are wondering... I'm still here. I'm happy I made the decision to be a flatbedder. And I'm glad I came to Maline to do so. Picked up a load from Muscle Shoals going Winston-Salem & dead headed home to Charlotte for the 4th. Have a good weekend fellas!
playamwj12, d o g and Lonesome Thank this. -
Sorry it took so long to respond. Been learning the ropes and taking my time to learn to secure correctly. I have a guilty conscience, and mistakes can't afford to be made on this side of the trucking industry. Making calls and building a repor with our agents and other experienced successful drivers within our company. I'm am pleased with what I have experienced so far. Next week will be the first of having all my expenses come out of my settlement. So I'm definitely motivated to get faster with my securement. Being completely new to flatbed is a constant learning experience, and very hard work. But it's also very rewarding. You gotta be dedicated to this. Good luck!playamwj12, d o g, TruckerNerd and 2 others Thank this.

Playa! How's it going driver. Been running this first week and a half without a GPS, so I was kinda spooked about taking freight to and from that area. But I planned on getting a 2016 map book, and a Rand Mcnally this weekend. And I will most likely be testing the waters this coming week from Georgia to the Midwest and back. Any suggestions?playamwj12 Thanks this.
