Why not fly back up there and fight the darn thing... That is why they continue to do this quick and easy free money that's all they care because they know nobody's going to fight it

Cheaper to get a local attorney than to take the time off work to fly to south Dakota, rent a car, go to court, fly home.

The point I'm making is that so many people are not willing to fight garbage like this and just hand them free money and as long as that continues they're going to continue this crap... As far as I'm concerned I I give the government enough money I don't need to donate any extra

    spyder7723 and Terry270 Thank this.

I agree. Just saying I would not be in court personally.

Side note, you really can't blame SD for this. Fl screwed up. The officer in SD just did his job.

    Inspector Thanks this.

Oh I agree on Florida screwed up just I would have got a lawyer because I'm pretty much certain that ticket would have been thrown out on a technicality considering he had proof the state screwed up which cause the error to begin with.. because now he's got CSA points which for something like that might be quite a few points even though there is a warning still count as points

If an Officer runs your license and your state comes back and says expired, suspended, etc, the officer is doing his job my placing the driver OOS and writing the citation. If your state screwed up (yes it does happen) get proof of it and contest it in court. The citation will most likely be thrown out.

Every two years since the state of Alabama started the med cert atttachment to your CDL, I have been suspended and only found out after a roadside DOT check.

After the last time, I started calling them every day... "Um yes, hello? I'd like to find out if my CDL is still good today? I have to drive."

Tickets alone will consume the 200. Pay the fine and close it move on.

Ive done it. We had a home argument one month that was bad enough to distract me from home needs and car needs. State pulled me over for no good reg 9 months after the fact. I paid in 10 minutes in town before he had a chance to get to lunch. Because of the200 plus cash I paid at the chief's window and citation, the state chose to decline recording it and treat it as a donation for children bears or something.

Other tickets like Ohio speeding, they get paid because 7 days warrant attach body (Arrest) is issued. No way I expect to be in Ohio then.
