even if i get per diem ?
-
Yes, save all your receipts for the end of year.
-
thank you and i do save evrything -
My opinion, your better off not taking per diem if you keep good records. Buy a truck drivers income tax diary. Mine is barjan item number 006-208 It will save you about 2 grand a year. It has deductable items in it. Easy to keep records in it. You can get them for about 4 bucks at some truck stops. Good for company or O/O. It has tax tips and record keeping rules. You can even right off a % of your laptop and internet. Get a good tax accountant that is familar with trucking.
Cerberus Thanks this. -
Jack, you driving again?
-
yes i am but i am second guessing my descion to do it. i wish i would have took more time too think about it. i think i need a change -
Kind of hard to stay away. Just remember you have a short window of time if you leave driving. That you have top start all over again....
If you need a change ever think about switching to a tanker or flatbed?
