No one said anything about being outlaw.

I emphasized my State because in the past seatbelt was not a valid reason for Smokey Bear to pull you over lights and all. They were not allowed to do that. Then.

Im not certain if the ticket against you is a criminal one, or just a citation of complaint against you by AZ for no seatbelt.

I encourage you to be careful here.

If your body hurts with the belt on, I offer you a idea in the past that worked for some using a padded attachment to that seatbelt over your chest. I hope this is a idea that helps you reduce the pain of it.

I guess I'm going to be the "Party Pooper" on this topic.

Ok, This goes out to motorists of at least 25 years of street time (Car or truck).......
It all boils down to the term "Issue".. How everything in this country today is an "issue" I mean everything and anything.

Seat Belts are No different.. Yeah I get it, you first responders are tired of looking at the Deceased at the Scene, It hits you guys hard especially kids.... But It didn't just start Yesterday..

Automobile crashes/truck crashes that are Fatal have been going on since the internal combustion engine...Human error/carelessness causes accidents, Sometimes your Lucky other Times your ticket has been punched,
Fact of the Matter is..ITS NOT ABOUT SAFETY, Its a revenue ploy that started in the late 80's early 9i0's when states starting making it LAW.........

That First Responder could care less about your mangled corpse, As Long as its not his family or friend. Yeah Like I say, It takes a strong stomach and and Heavy Heart to do that job.......but If its that important, These Laws would have been written in the 50's..60's 70's Heck even early 80's

So, I stand Firm on that. Next, A seat Belt in a semi? Come on,Really? If I Roll it,And I Die, I'll accept it.
I DO NOT nor ever wore a seat belt in a truck, When I started it wasn't a law until what? late 1990's??

I'll take the chance that I would be ok in an accident,Should I ever have 1

And none of you Tree Huggers out there will ever Convince me that a Seatbelt is my "Lifesaver"..

    Good day Folks.

    Are you guys serious?

Maybe 10 years ago I was parked on a ramp in Tennessee on I-40, couldn't find place to park. Trooper wakes me up and sez $100(or more) but he disagrees with the law so he gives me a seat belt ticket instead ($10).

It is a contributing cause of fatals. There is at least one other action there is a second contributing factor such as speed. All the contributing factors have parts in it safety etc.

Use the slack adjustment and give yourself just a little , if the truck does not have it, go to lowes or similar store. Look in the section where they have those cheap little tarps, you should find a plastic clamp that clamps on the tarp, i think I paid about $1.50 for it. Pull what slack you want and clamp it on the belt at the shoulder loop. The belt should stay snug across your lap and the chest strap won't be pushing those items in your shirt pockets in your skin. By the way , I got them in the pick up and the suv for long trips.

When I was a child we had a fairly large collection of powerful vehicles leaning towards the luxury in part of the family. Mother had a VW Bug and Father had a Datsun that was fun actually taking road trips to the railroad in Lancaster for the day in it.

In those days there were no seatbelts in the vehicles in that part of the family or they were shoved under the cushions. We lived free as we wished because getting into a wreck with that wood, iron and cold steel weighing tons on the inside as well as outside people got hurt sometimes.

Fast forward to today. I drive a Tahoe because in the day it's considered a crusher by the insurance agent and hence why I pay good rates for full coverage plus some other useful riders on that policy. The computer in the vehicle is first generation and runs off the sensors hard wired. Its a ol Computer but I am racing to fix it with a new rotor, rotor device under it and wires for the new plugs in it. Hopefully getting the timing settled so it does not destroy the catalytic converter which is required for it to run as long the two sensors inside that 500 dollar device shows the gases in range.

I would not mind getting a even older car to go back to the days of points, point adjustment and so on under that distributor cap. MAYBE someone made a small chip retrofit to simulate a point interruption that is part of the system of igniting the engine fuel inside of the cylinders on time as the rotor device travels the full circle inside each of the probes that take power to the individual spark plugs. Desiel this need not apply. A airbreather simply sucks it in, smashes it and then blow after it burns naturally due to extreme compression.
