I flip less than 20% of my loaded containers. Not having to deal with a port chassis is worth it to me. I bypass roadability at some terminals completely and get waved through the rest. As for seeing Duncan trucks at every port, Duncan is the largest trucking company that runs the ports.

I doubt its the largest its a fleet of like 300 trucks? I know xpo is like 400 trucks and container connection is up at 300 too 400. Usually the companies that service dc's are huge. They have all kinds of accounts but they don't give you guys trouble at maersk? I know maersk and evergreen will give you a headache if the bit is expired on a own chasssis or lights on working even if it's a fuse

I stand corrected. I meant to say largest company running the SoCal ports. If you say that xpo or container connection are larger, who knows, maybe they are.
Maersk waves us through, never had any trouble with Evergreen. -
After almost 6 hours waiting, finally out of the DC. Found out that the load assignment that I was sent was wrong and they told me that they have been telling Swift this for years and still they will not fix. Like it says first stop no earlier then 1300, when actually 1st stop no earlier than 1500, and shows final by 1900, when actually 2100. Now I can breathe a little easier. Sitting here in a rest area which is about as far as I could go. I was down to about 1 hour on my 14. Now this screws up my next pplan some. Was hoping to pick it up at the yard tomorrow and get some of the miles done, but considering what time now will get finished, not happening

After that long weekend I ended up at the TA in Morris, IL.
I had reserved a spot here tonight because I never know how crowded it will be at 2000. Turns out there were plenty of spaces left. Oh. well. Better safe...
My home time is set for tomorrow in MN. I accepted a pplan going to the Costco in Burnsville delivering at 0700 on the 7th, then was sent another pplan a bit later. No mention of home time on either.
The second load is a load of pallets from the same Costco, which means I can deliver my load early. It's only going 20 miles for a drop delivery so I told my DM that I'm happy to do it if that would be my home time load. He said yes.
I was just able to pick up the Costco load tonight, with 4 minutes remaining on my clock when I got to the TA.
A little less time taken in the morning.
I'll be able to get home by 2100 or so tomorrow night. Sweet.FerrissWheel and inkeper Thank this. -
In Corinne UT, student at SLC flaked. DD is working on lining up another. DM is more anxious than I am about not having a student.
I'm liking the break frankly. The west coast holding pattern I could do without however.
