4 victims the decade before the arrest.
Kidnapping charges dropped.
Kiddie porn charges dropped.
Charged with 'transporting for sexual purposes.'

Why were the kidnapping charges dropped?

"Well, he copped a plea."

Really? If you were a juror and some girl got on a stand with her teeth filed and told you that he did this to her against her will, would you believe her? Especially if there was another girl with the same dental plan. "Take him out and hang him in the town square!!!!"

That guy in Ohio that held those girls for years until one escaped...did they offer him a deal, to drop the kidnapping charges for "having sex with a minor?"

Maybe it's just the news article, but it's not adding up to me.

Don't be so quick to believe the media. In one sentence, they're saying that he filed the girls teeth down and in another it says that he made her wear fake teeth. Which is it?

No rape charge? 6 women total and no rape charge?

Well, if the media can get people to stand outside Target at 2am on black Friday in the freezing cold, they should have no problem getting people to believe anything else.

 

It's possible that this was a case of the lines between rape and slavery and some serious but voluntary s and m being very blurred. The fact that one girl was supposedly kidnapped and repeatedly raped and only came forward when someone else did makes you wonder.

 

Why would the Fourth Estate bother with ascertaining the facts, when it's sensationalism that sells newspapers.

 

One thing that always puzzles me in cases like these is how do you keep someone locked up in a truck that long? Like really at some point you'd have thought they would have been out of the truck to use the bathroom, shower or eat. Unless he had them chained up 24/7.

 

It's impossible to get into the minds of those victims. Most likely they developed stockholm syndrome and once that set it it was nearly impossible for them to think straight. It takes an uncommonly strong person to break free from the mental prison they find themsleves once the kidnapping has set in on them. Wondering why they didn't just try to run away or fight back is ignorant and foolish. I know I can't think like an 18 year old female victim

 

Neither can I. Myself, I'd be gone the moment I saw a chance.
