Im sure you hear this question everyday, but here it goes again! Im a prospective female trucker finishing school in 2 weeks at MATC in milwaukee, wisconsin. Looking for suggestions for good company. Looking to do OTR, night driving preferred, pet policy, passenger program, no touch freight, newer equipment, want to stay in warmer climates, decent amount of terminals, decent training & orientation pay... all negotiable. Relocation is not an issue, safety is! Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!

A vampire driver...do you have your doubles/triples? If not, get them. My first thought would be a company like Old Dominion, that shuttles double pup trailers at night. All drop and hook.

I took all my endorsement tests... so i'll look in to it... thanks!

Old Dominion linehaul is good.
Old Dominion P&D division is all city driving with maybe 20 stops a day picking up and delivering packages.
Don't relocate right now because you'll have to change your cdl license to the new state plus re-apply for hazmat. Since you want OTR, this will give you the opportunity to look around the country and decide where you will like to relocate to.
Most companies don't care where you take your time off/hometime. This way if you see an area you like, request hometime there and take a few days to look around.
More and more companies have pet & passenger policy these days. If it's not on the website call and ask.
Britton Transport
Schuster
Abilene Motor Express
Magnum Ltd.
Navajo Express
Jim Palmer Trucking
National Carriers
Don Hummer Trucking
Dynamic Transit
Pass these names along to your classmates; the school has probably never heard of them. Schools usually push the same old usual suspects. All those listed above hire new cdl grads, even if the website has different. Start submitting applications now; don't wait any longer.
Come on out to Las Vegas, definitely a warmer climate; that's why I relocated to there.tscottme Thanks this. -
If she goes with OD won't she be more of out and then right back to Milwaukee? Seems she wants to run in the south or west for extended periods.

Nevermind Chinatown. You answered while I was typing. Must have seen the bat signal.
Chinatown Thanks this. -
Not really. I run all week before returning home with OD. Spend every night in a hotel.

@sdaniel answered that one. Also, they have teams that run coast to coast & all drop & hook. Probably can't take home time anywhere though like she can with a general freight company.

Got a friend who stays out 12 to 14 weeks. Does a 34 anywhere they have a term (when needed). Some term will not let guys run like that.
Chinatown Thanks this.
