It may not be fun but at least you're moving. The "big end of year push" is over, and it never got real big to begin with.

Too true. I've been sitting in docks so much so far.. It feels like I'm doing nothing all day. But at the end of the day I'm looking at my miles and they're solid. Not amazing, but not terrible. I am still finding it very hard to believe I've loads for the entire weekend sitting in the Qualcomm right now. Probably jinxing myself as I type this, wouldn't be too much of a surprise to see them all pulled tomorrow when I wake.

As a side note. I decided that I've been smoking too much. So, in a moment of sheer brilliance I decided that if I'm chewing gum, I can't be smoking, so I bought a whole bunch of gum.
It totally worked. Chewed gum all day, only went through about 5 cigarettes. However I absolutely misjudged the benefits of gum chewing. Not only does it prevent me from smoking, it also prevents me from eating dinner since my jaw is so sore. Free diet! And I'm saving so much money on food and cigs. Perhaps I'll market this idea and make millions!alpha beta, jwin67, 91B20H8 and 3 others Thank this. -
That was my issue with van. Too many live loads and unloads..if I wanted to sit in docks, I'd do reefer!Tac-Lift Thanks this.

I dread sitting for live loads / unloads.
Had 1 this week that never turned off the red light, sometime later another truck pulled in and he needed the dock I was sitting in, so he sent the other driver out to tell me I been done "for quite a while now" I went in the building to ask wtf and his reply was; "I can't believe you didn't know I was done" I then told him "I can't believe you don't know how to operate the dock lights" He didn't like that, called me an A-Hole and told me to leave. <shrug>Friday, milehunter43 and 91B20H8 Thank this. -
And all my plans are jacked up now. On hold waiting to talk to someone. First relay I picked up has the tandems slid to 43' mark and it's 200lb over on the tandems. Womp. Can't pull it... Jack donkey that picked it up in Lima used their scale and then didn't scale again... Here's the reason why it's a bad idea.

@Friday if your not going through a 41' state I'd prolly slide it back 2 and run
-
Ohio to PA. They're already as far back as they can go legally. I tried sliding the fifth wheel on a wild hope that would take it off the tandems a tiny bit and no. Now I'm just also over 12k on the steers. Still on hold. Apparently Charlotte OC is without power.
-
Or are you saying just slide them back a couple anyway? It is Saturday morning.... But I really would rather not get pulled in and get a ticket for either bridge or weight
