City of Weed, CA Truck Friendly

Interesting name........Nice to see a city in California that respects that we are not a burden.

I just hope that we show the same respect and use garbage cans for there intended purpose.

 

Meh. EX #1 lives there. She's not that friendly towards my truck.

 

Gotta love those ex towns Dave ! I sneak in and out of Fargo under the cover of darkness lol

 

It's pretty Refreshing to know this..especially in California..

Weed has long been a nice stop in the wilderness. They had a good sized mom & pop stop there, think its a Pilot or Loves now unfortunately.

 

It's a pilot.

And yes, exit 745 has that pilot and a bunch of parking, plus a bunch of fast food. That is one of the most heavily littered areas I've ever seen. The on and off ramps are littered with thousands of pee bottles. The streets always have tons of bags of garbage by the curbs . The dirt lot behind the burger King and taco Bell where a lot of trucks park must literal tons of garbage.

 

That's unfortunate. I haven't been by there in years. Gone up & down 5 several times last winter but didn't stop. It didn't used to be like that. Was a nice stop, especially when you came up the back way from Reno. It was actually nice, secure place deep in them mountains. I always got a hot cakes & sausage, then was on my way in the morning. Stopped their a lot, would sleep at the TS, that was back in the JBHunt days.

 

Been through downtown Weed many times. It is not truck friendly.
