There's really no way to answer this because there's so many different options that increase the cost. I just specced put a new KW T800 and a Pete 579 the T8 came to 172000 and the 579 was 168000 but my spec is way different than a regular otr spec.

2016 Peterbilt 579. 132K + 15K Federal Excise Tax=$147K. 10K down $2344/mo. @6.99% . Also had $2500 rebate and $4K dealer cash (used to buy 5yr/ 500K engine and after treatment warranty)

How about a 2017 Pete 389 carhaul spec, $198,000 with just the headrack, $259k with the trailer plus FET on each so your looking at another $27-31k in tax on top of that, the 12% Federal Exicse Tax is the killer. I have been thinking about a brand new rig to finish out my last 10 years or so, assuming I decide to stay in this at all, but $280,000 is a hard nut to swallow for an asset that will drop in value like a rock.
A run of the mill OTR spec tractor should set you back about $140 grand with FET, assuming you don't go crazy with all the bells and whistles. -
That's a house

My company just speced and ordered a Pete 567 daycab with lift axle. Think it was around 162,000
