Ya, no kidding. They work 24/7 and are only paid by the ounce. They would make more as a coffee creamer at Starbucks!

110+ for the next 5 days here and surrounding areas. We have an added twist for the next few days. The coveted dust storms. The " Haboob. " The haboob is no joke. And if your on 10 between Tucson and Phoenix you have a very real chance of being caught up in one. ZERO visibility, and they last for 2 to 5 hours. If you see weather advisery, and there is an active haboob between Tucson & Phoenix, just post up at the TTT until it passes, you'll probably not make it to Eloy.
Good luck, and thank you for visiting Arizona.

We get mini-versions of those things out in Bovina and Hereford in the afternoon. When it's feeding time, the feed-lots have massive stampedes towards to trowels that kick up fog-level dust.
As for moving down towards the PHX area, still no dice on those food-service positions I inquired about down there. I guess the non-local zip code is whooping me.

Ah man that's like night time low lol.
They are talking 115+ for the next 3 days. Today coming into Phoenix from the south 4 big rigs getting tires in about a 3 mile span. They have cleaned up the HUGE mess of tires from the first bad heat wave between here and Tucson.
DPS is working that stretch like you cannot imagine. If your passing through Arizona on 10 during daylight hours you have a very real chance of a roadside.

And they don't want us to idle while stopped.

    1) i'm not sure of the logic of office workers getting A/C while everyone else doesn't? i can see a salesperson "needing" A/C all the time, but everyone else?

    2) why spend all that money to put A/C on a truck if you're not going to use it?

    3) LTL profit margins are not very large? Then again, most, vast majority of businesses the profit margin is not big. ( i think?)
