Somebody damaged my trailer several weeks ago when they backed into it with a spotter truck that had the 5th wheel raised up. Getting them to pay for it is still a work in progress but it's back the way it was which makes me partly happy. The shop did a really clean job on the work it looks like it did from the factory.
nice work

What shop did the repairs?
-
How much was the repair?
-
I'll post details after everything gets cleared up. Might be a few weeks or even months. Like I said, getting them to pay for what they destroyed is still a work in progress...

At least you're patched up good and making money again. Can't imagine the f2f debacle + a stupid screw up like that on top of it. Screw ups like that that should not have happened irritate the hell out of me. (The poked holes)

Always something but this one here really did "take the cake". I have "incriminating" pics of the actual spotter truck backed into those holes. If you think you've seen it all you haven't ever driven a big truck, right?

One time reading body in reading pa hooked up to my trailer and didn't release the brakes right and drug my trailer a couple hundred feet or so. If it wasn't for me being there waiting on my load I probably would of missed it. FLAT SPOTTED THREE OF MY NEW'ISH TIRES TO THE METAL! Luckily for me I had just did a dot inspection a couple days before and had my tread depth for the record. Snapped photos of everything that day; the long tire streaks, my tires, the yard spotter, the yard spotter hooked up to my trailer. I even got the manager on duty to witness the event. After turning this into my insurance company I played a long game of doing other people's job and trying to develop extra patience. I long since replaced the tires and the insurance company quickly gave me my $350 or so dollars that was over my deductible. Well one day months or so after the event and all the game playing I get a call from my insurance folks saying they cut the rest of the check, it was a thousand if I recall. It BLEW ME AWAY though because I almost dismissed it as a lost cause then lo and behold here it showed back up. They played many games, my people and the people @ Reading... But my evidence and diligence prevailed... Sad, got to do everyone's job sometimes to make sure the job gets done... Then, back to the day after the event, I ran into another owner op who delivered @ the same consignee as me, and he was PISSED! They drug is trailer too and flat spotted some of his tires... He didn't realize it though until AFTER he left... No proof

That's always been a concern of mine at shippers where a yard truck comes, takes your trailer to be loaded, and zooms off. Then returns with it loaded. You know they just thrash it down, into the door , snatch it back up.
