Any other California based drivers, past or present, receive the same class action lawsuit info in the mail? Today I got a notice that I could possible see a whopping $200.81 out of a 28,000,000 settlement. Just curious who else received it.

Hire Rite?

No. It was a suit filed because Schneider didn't pay for trailer searches, hooking and unhooking trailers, on board computer use, etc. From what I read it only applies to California based drivers because of their labor laws.TennMan Thanks this.

Funny feeling this might be why they closed the OC over that way, damage control?
driverdriver, ExOTR, TennMan and 3 others Thank this. -
California is pretty rediculous. My wife started a job in the middle of a Class Action and didn't even know about it. It was over getting paid for breaks. Being from the south she never expected to get paid for breaks. Most ppl don't.
Couple years later she got a check for $4500 and California wanted over half in taxes. We had already moved to the east coast by then. Every year for the past 9 years California starts threatening to take everything we have around tax time. Every year we have to send in fresh notarized copies of things to prove we don't live there and don't owe them money.driverdriver Thanks this. -
At least somebody cares about all the crap that mileage-paid drivers do for free.scythe08, TurtlesLikeI, driverdriver and 5 others Thank this.

When I read my employment agreement, it clearly stated what was included in my mileage pay. I signed on, didn't particularly like some of it, but if you want the worm, you gotta eat the apple.

Has anyone got their check yet?
-
Nope. Still waiting.
