it probably has better aerodynamics then a cabover and has steps instead of a ladder to get in the cab.

Actually, the cabovers with the nose cone style front ends are far more aerodynamic than even the best conventionals. It has to do with the drag created at the hood cab interface. The cabovers disturb the air once and you're done with it whereas the conventional the hood and fenders disturb the air and then you have to deal with the air hitting the cab.

That is cool. Anyone seen the new cabover car haulers? No idea who makes the tractor. I think the reason my DD13 is such a turd is the gearing (10 speed with 3:70 rear-end), hauling cars, across Kansas (not as flat as you think in the hills) and the never ending winds that always seem to be a head wind both directions. Hauling cars requires more power to overcome the aerodynamic disaster of my load. It's probably fine pulling a box at 65mph, but who really wants to do that? The 65mph part that is..before I start somethin'. lol

Technically, those aren't cabovers, but rather LCF's (low cab forward) And 3.70 is a rather short gear for today's motors.

Penske truck. One size fits most. I'm stuck with it. The new car hauler I saw, looked like it had the cab you would see on a crane or a fire engine on top of the steer axle.

Yes, that's exactly what they are. @Colorato has posted pics on here somewhere before.
