If you have experience in that field, have you ever considered working for the City of Boston? I know here in Denver, our wastewater guys (which includes vactor operators) make quite a bit more than that, they get OT, benefits, etc. They'll also have to be available for plowing snow in the Winter.
Unfortunately, if there's a job out there that gives someone everything they want, it's gotta be above our pay grades. It comes down to a matter of choosing what's the most important to you, and prioritizing based on that.

You were making good easy money at Werner and gave it up for that? You will soon realize local is overrated and will burn you out in no time. Your "hometime" will be strictly to sleep and shower. 4 AM start time? No thanks.

BTW, who were the people that were helping you load or unload?

If you call a Dollar General account "easy money" I'd hate to see what you're doing.

I would check around. Maybe a food distributor. Or a meat distributor where you are mostly dropping pallets.

    Baker Commodities?
