That would be something most of my co-workers wouldn't have the first clue what to do with.

Most of my coworkers have no idea what weight limits are or how to make it right by sliding axles or fifth wheel. And the majority of those that do only know the interstate system, and no idea on state and local weight limits.

    Mike2633 Thanks this.

I told a guy yesterday morning to make sure he scaled his load.

    "Why"?

"...Because the tractor you're driving is only tagged for 45k".

He looked at me like I have two heads. Dear God, where do they find these idiots???

That used to be the bridge law in GA for many years so I don't need my atlas, Ga gave me enough tickets on it to know what it was. Not too much you can do about it when you have a bulk tanker with stationary tandems. Thanks for your input though.

Especially when the boss says he wants 80,000 lbs on every load and if I got a ticket, he would pay them-which he did, course it was only a dollar a thousand in GA at that time so it never was much of a fine.

This is standard for great Dane trailers by state, these arent where they must be but the furthest point allowed by state if there's any confusion

Might not be for all yrs.
Company I was with had a chart in the permit book.
Referenced trailers by brand and year. Showing different holes for different year but same make.
