Also........
It just goes to show that you and me(1 truck carriers) are NOT needed by these brokers.
6 wheeler....Try not to dump any more lumber on the highway and maybe you can solicit some customers directly and Lose the whole rat-race of third parties picking n choosing whom they contract with.
Just ANOTHER reason not to use brokers........
Wish you luck 6 wheeler.

And this re-enforces the reason why its so important to do your due diligence before becoming an O/O. Sounds like your back at school trying to get an A+

I use ITS, and I have no data reported on my record. I've also never had a broker refuse to send a rate confirmation based on my carrier record or lack thereof.
I did have a few that required 90 days of active authority who wouldn't send a load over. And another few that required 90 days but waived the requirement because they really, REALLY needed the truck that I had available.Lepton1 Thanks this. -
You said a mouthful there.
It's getting stupid crazy. Saturday I had one load to do for a local customer. I figured it might be a short, light work day. The receiver was paying the bill. I get to the receiver and he's THANKING ME profusely for helping him out, then asks if I want to get reloaded for another short haul, then come back to load for a 200 mile run.
SURE! That was a very profitable day. Six hours and a gallon of water sweating my balls off in the heat between securing and unsecuring three loads, but I did sleep like a baby.Wargames, windsmith, 6wheeler and 1 other person Thank this. -
That was over 2 years ago. I now have a regular supply of shippers and hardly use the loadboards anymore. O/O since 2010Lepton1 Thanks this.
