The thing that worries me most is that you felt it was ok to just roll out with a possible brake problem.
Swedish Chef, tinytim, Dye Guardian and 5 others Thank this. -
Wmt... You got lucky this time. I bet there's another scale on your route.
Try unhooking your air lines and sliding your tandems, or back up to a tall curb and use that as a chock, just be sure to lift your mud flaps up so you don't rip them off -
Overweight and no trailer brakes = hammer down
dog-c, Dominick253, Hick and 3 others Thank this. -
better yet, go to a shop and get the trailer brakes adjusted.
Dominick253 and CrappieJunkie Thank this. -
I knew the brakes worked fine. I picked the trailer up in Texas and drove to KC with no stopping issues. The load on it was only 20k so I didnt need to worry about moving the tandems on that one. I drove back to the shipper (only a mile away) and tried using one of their rubber chocks . That didnt work , they were too small

The red lights are recorded.

The brakes did NOT work fine. if the round rubber things turn when the brakes are set, then the brakes most definitely are NOT working finebobtrucks2204, Dominick253, LindaPV and 2 others Thank this.
