I looked for a thread on this & didn't see one. I know there has got to be one but I didn't find it.
Does anyone know the scoop on the new construction & the existing Loves, both across the street from each other, at I-20 exit 540 in Van, TX? The existing one is still a nice store & doesn't appear to be out of date. I know the property is small, always full & hard to get around in, so I wonder if they are going to leave the existing TS open & utilize two TS's or are they closing the existing one after the new one opens?
There is a popular Soulman's BBQ on the adjoining property to the east & a family restaurant on the adjoining property to the north of the existing TS.
Personally, I'd like to see them leave both open but I haven't heard either way. Any one know for sure, or have any documented reports, to say what the end result is going to be here? One Loves or two at this exit?

They're also building in Harrisonville, Mo and Blytheville, Ark.
Then Sapp Bros. decided they were going to build in Harrisonville, MO, too!
Funny. I haven't seen a Sapp Bros. truck stop in a gazillion years.drvrtech77 Thanks this. -
The ribs from Soulman did taste good, but not great.
Knucklehead Thanks this. -
It's a toss up with Sonny's ... Sonny's does have great sauce. But sauce isn't BBQ.

Avoid the tire shop at this location. I needed one new shock. Tech insisted I change all 4, said he never just changed one. I said no, when i get the bill i see he charged me a $50 torch fee because one bolt had to be heated up. I made the mistake of not watching, dont even know that he used the torch but $50 is ridiculous. I wont ever use that Loves or any other for tires/shocks. Too many other choices.
passingthru69, truckthatpassesyouby and NavigatorWife Thank this.
