The best tanker company in So. Cal is Sentinel Transportation out of Los Angeles. I've heard great things from their drivers about the L.A. terminal, not sure about Gardena. They haul gasoline directly for Phillips and 76 stations. It's about as close to hauling fuel for a major, as you can get.

Yeah, I've heard great things too. Maybe down the line, but I'm pretty much unemployable to them now.

If it makes you feel any better, a lot of the old united drivers were deemed "unemployable" after the sentinel buy out...

They're not gonna interview you , road test you, and drug test you just to give you a denial based on arbitrary policies. They're probably very busy people who are desperate for drivers. They want to meet you to ensure you're not a crackhead who was just released from prison and that you can actually drive a truck. If you didn't meet their initial hiring standards on paper, they'd never call you in for an interview.

I haven't heard much bad about Cox, except they're a huge company with high turnover. But that's a useful situation--you get 1 or 2 years experience in with them with no mixes, spills, dome-outs or rack lockouts-- and you've built a solid and impressive resume.
