I personally think they're afraid of retirement. They just need something to do or want satisfaction of still being needed. For some people, retirement isn't a new beginning....it's a death sentence.

The worst deliveries are the heavy and long hardwood floor pallets. If a place closes early and most of your freight is on the nose , you are F@7kd.
If the place has no forklift, well... I'm getting that back pain again just talking (writing) about itMike2633, carl320 and carramrod32 Thank this. -
Hate hardwood floors. I know the ones you speak of. Unloading them by hand in 95 degree temps, oh ya. I especially love it when a/c in cab is blowing lukewarm. Also hate working around carpet all day. I will run out of route to get rid of them if I have to.
Mike2633 and Giuseppe Ventolucci Thank this. -
I can believe that, especially for someone who for whatever reason couldn't put any money away. In their future lies the decision of death by either suicide or starvation once medical issues force them out of work.Mike2633, Giuseppe Ventolucci, Sho Nuff and 1 other person Thank this.
