I have a 2005 freightliner Columbia. The blower acts like the resistor has gone out, only operating when the control is set to high speed, blower coming on but not pushing any air out, that sort of thing. Now this one has the blower and resistor together and I know how to fix that. My problem is figuring out why both my cab and bunk blowers started doing the same thing at the same time. If anyone has any knowledge to share on this I would be much appreciated.

possible bad connections at the blower the terminals get loose

I removed the blower and turned it on every speed and it works fine. The moveable dome thing that covers it when its back in place is blocking air from getting to the vents. I tried to slide it back up and it worked for awhile bit the air is now moving slow through the vents again. I checked to see if that dome cover fell back down but it hasn't. So the problem isn't the blower itself... I'm lost at this point as to what it can be. I know when I moved the dome though that I got airflow back in the sleeper too.

Bad connection there somewhere. The problem might be with the other end of the wire further away from the dome light (since there are two ends of a piece of wire).

Verify that blower is spinning in the correct direction. I had a blower which would sometimes start in reverse direction where it was pulling air thru the vents instead of pushing it out. Had nothing to do with the wiring, just the blower assembly.

if you unplug the blower and look at the connection terminals they become sluts and increase current draw which causes nothing but problems in the whole system i usually give the blower terminals a little bit of a 30 degree bend and they usually are good after that

After I wrote my initial post I removed the blower itself and, leaving it plugged in, tested it through all the speeds. The blower ended up being fine. Before I put it back, I checked the cavity for any blockages. There is a baffle that's shaped like a dome that slides around up there. I don't know what it's for or what its really called but it was completely blocking air from the vents. I moved it around where it wasn't blocking the vents and it works... Better now... My concern now is that it not only blocked air from the cab vents but also stopped air from getting to the sleeper blower.... I thought they were separate units
