That's ugly !

 

Probably a backup or slowed traffic leading into a one-lane construction area if I had to guess. Given all the construction that's going on all over the nation this summer, these crashes are bound to increase dramatically because there are plenty who are distracted for hours on end, every day.

I count at least 5 trucks involved based on the photos.

 

So I wonder who died, the tire service guy ( sheet over drivers area) or the rock hauler. Not much left of either. Looks like the rock hauler hit the container pretty hard. Boy, I bet that made some noise.

 

I just went by there, both the straight truck driver and the rock hauler died. Very unfortunate accident.

 

This is what happens to a pack of vehicles when one of the drivers screws up or does something unexpected. Nobody else has time to react, and the collisions begin.

Don't drive in packs.

 

How do you know that? Did an officer tell you or some know it all on the CB?

I've went by dozens of bad wrecks and heard the chatter that the driver died, only to google it later and find out everyone survived

 

Local news here going hard on "big rig crashes" happening in Illinois and across the country

 

Just going by what kwqc news was reporting. But by the looks of it Id say they are unfortunately correct.
